Relationship Coaching.

“Relationships do not merely shape reality, they are reality”

Shawn Wilson - Indigenous scholar

My path to becoming a relationship coach was multifaceted. First, a painful divorce forced me to face my role in my relationships, and finally get to the bottom of what wasn’t working. Second, I heard about the “Harvard study of adult development” and was surprised and unsurprised to learn just how significant the quality of relationships was in our overall health and well being. Finally, I started listening to “The Relationship School” podcast, as well as others, and realized that there were skills to be learned to do relationships well. I went on to take the Deep Psychology of Intimate Relationships course at the Relationship School, and have since graduated from their Relationship Coach Training program.

My goal as a relationship coach is to guide and support as you deepen your understanding of yourself, on a journey to becoming more relationally literate. I will serve as a compassionate mirror who can reflect back hidden or disowned parts of yourself, to help you become more conscious of your blindspots and unconscious patterns. Then, from a place of greater  awareness, we can start to set goals for where you want to go in your relational life, and map out a path to take you there.

The work of relational success starts with the relationship to yourself and your experience.

If you are someone who struggles or feels stuck in their intimate partnerships, family relationships, friendships or work dynamics, let’s work together to make change happen.

Some areas we will explore through coaching include:

  • Gaining a better understanding of your values

  • Getting clear on, and expressing, your needs

  • Learning how to set healthy boundaries

  • Being seen and validated in your experience

  • Experiencing support and challenge

  • Learning to listen to your “gut” and trust your intuition
